The short version: we collect only what you type into our estimate form, we use it only to quote and carry out your work, we never sell it, and we’ll delete it if you ask.

Blue Oak Home Solutions (“we”, “us”) is a home repair and handyman business serving St. Johns and St. Johns County, FL. This policy covers the website at blueoakhomesolutions.com.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us. When you submit the estimate form, we receive:

• Your name and phone number (required)
• Your email address, if you provide one
• Your ZIP code, and your street address and city if you provide them
• The description of the work you need done
• Any photos you attach
• Your preferred contact method and timeline, if you fill those in

If you call or email us directly, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation for the same purposes described below.

We do not ask for and never want payment card numbers, bank details, or government ID numbers through this website. Don’t send them.

Why we collect it, and what we do with it

We use your information for these purposes and nothing else:

• To prepare an accurate estimate for the work you’ve described
• To contact you about that estimate and ask follow-up questions
• To schedule and carry out work you’ve approved
• To keep a record of work performed, for warranty purposes

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. We don’t add you to a marketing list without you asking. We don’t share your details with other contractors unless you’ve asked us to refer you to one, and then only with your say-so.

Photos you send us

Photos you attach to the estimate form are used to quote and complete your work. We will never publish a photo of your home in our gallery, on social media, or anywhere else without asking you first and getting a clear yes. If we do ask and you’d rather we didn’t, that’s a completely fine answer and it changes nothing about your job or your price.

Who else touches your data

We keep the number of third parties as small as we practically can. Currently:

• Netlify hosts this website and processes the estimate form. Your submission, including any photos, is stored on Netlify’s servers and forwarded to our email. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
• Our email provider receives your estimate request so we can read and reply to it.

We may also disclose information if we’re legally required to — a court order, for example. That has never happened and we don’t expect it to.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising tracker, no session recording, and no third-party chat widget. We don’t build a profile of you and we can’t follow you around the internet.

Everything the site needs — including its fonts — is served from our own domain. Loading a page on this site makes no request to any outside company.

Netlify keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting, as essentially every web host does.

If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this page before we switch it on.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests that don’t turn into work are deleted within about 12 months. Records of completed jobs are kept for the length of our workmanship guarantee plus any period required for tax and accounting purposes — typically several years — because we need them to honour warranty claims.

Your choices

You can, at any time and for any reason:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Tell us to stop contacting you

Email blueoakhomesolutions@gmail.com and we’ll take care of it, normally within a few days. You don’t need to give a reason, and asking will never affect the service you get from us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your personal information. We’ll honour those rights regardless of whether a particular law technically applies to a business our size.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are held in a password-protected Netlify account, and access to our email is limited to the people who need it to do the work.

No system is perfectly secure, and we’d rather say so than pretend otherwise. If we ever became aware of a breach affecting your information, we would tell you.

Children

This site is aimed at homeowners and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the date below. Material changes will be obvious, not buried.
